Two of Newport’s longest running and most respected firms of Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants have merged. NP Linnells (Nuttall Parker Commercial until recently) and Linnells have joined forces to create NP Linnells which will together continue to specialise in commercial, residential and development property advice in South East Wales.

NP Linnells traces its history back to 1961, as part of the Nuttall Parker Partnership originally based on Bridge Street, Newport. In 2009 the commercial property arm became a separate entity re-locating to Gold Tops House in 2016 and re-branding to NP Linnells in 2018. The partners Tim Parker and Matt Tyler specialise in residential and commercial valuation and survey, development consultancy and agency as well as commercial property agency acting for a number of housing associations, lenders and developers.

Linnells Property Consultants, headed by Mark Steven was established in 1996 from a former regional office of DTZ Debenham Thorpe and has been based on Gold Tops since that time. Linnells Property Consultants provide a range of commercial agency, valuation and consultancy advice across South Wales and are property advisors to St David’s Hospice Care.

NP Linnells brings together these 2 established companies with over 50 years’ experience in the region, providing a fresh thinking and innovative approach to all areas of the property market across South Wales.

Mark Steven MRICS
Partner
Mark is a partner and co-owner responsible for commercial property sales and lettings and valuation work across South Wales. Mark was a co-founder and remains a Director of Linnells Limited which was established in 1996, prior to the merger with NP Property in late 2019 to form NP Linnells. Outside of work Mark enjoys playing golf (badly!) and watching football, together with spending time with his wife and two boys.
Matt Tyler MRICS
Partner
Matt is a partner and co-owner of NP Linnells looking after the development and commercial property agency side of the business. Matt specialises in the acquisition of development land for clients, development consultancy services and strategic land as well as general agency. Matt’s previous role was as an Associate Director in the Development team at International Property Advisers, Savills. Prior to that, Matt was head of property auctions and principle auctioneer at Seel & Co Chartered Surveyors in Cardiff. Matt’s clients include Linc Cymru Housing Association, Bron Afon Housing Association, Hafod Housing Association, Hale Construction, Project Three Developments Ltd, Orbis Education & Care, X-Stream Properties and Your Space amongst others. Matt enjoys rugby, cricket (spectating these days) and spending time with his family.
Tim Parker MRICS
Partner
Tim is a partner and co-owner responsible for the survey and valuation side of the business. Tim has unrivalled experience in both residential and commercial valuation and survey work covering the South East Wales area. Tim started his career in property in 1999 working for a national surveying firm in Cardiff before joining his father in business in 2004. Tim is also the Principal Surveyor for national surveying network, Allied Surveyors & Valuers. Tim’s clients include a number of residential and commercial mortgage lenders, housing associations, solicitors, professional advisors and private individuals. Outside of work Tim enjoys cycling and running and spending time with his wife and three children.
